Kate Thinks: In this story the author does a fantastic job of bringing you back in time. She uses terminology and concepts that fit the time period, making sure that her story is as believable as possible. Her characters are so amazingly real and flawed, thanks the brilliant depth and emotion she gave them, and you will love Logan and Lillian from beginning to end. At first the story seems a little hard to follow, thanks to the number of transitions between Logan and Lillian's points points of view, but soon after that, the transitions are few and far between. 

As the story goes on, it begins to flow with a great deal of eloquence. In my opinion, one of the best things about this story is the author's use of vocabulary. Just by reading a short piece of her story, you can see her vast understanding of the English language. And she uses that understanding to add detail to the superb plot of her story. The plot is fairly cliche, but I will say that it's cliche in a good way, using mystery and drama to add a new and exciting feeling to the story.

Felicia, a slave girl, is taught to be both obedient and taciturn. Yet she is anything but. This is a story of her tribulations, both romantic and otherwise, which force her to choose between whom she loves and the freedom she needs.

Kate Thinks: Wow. That was all I could think after reading this story. It was just so perfect. The idea itself was so impressive and original, that I found myself hooked from the very beginning. Her characters are so funny and beautiful. Felicia and her friends are the people you want to be your friends, the type of people you feel a connection to. The banter she creates between them will make you laugh until you're about to pee, and the terrible situations she puts them in will make you want to cry. This contrast in the story, the mixture of happy and sad, raises the story to a whole new level. You should be warned, this story is long, but it is so well written and perfectly addictive, that you won't sleep till you finish. And when you do, her ending will keep you thinking.

Kate Thinks: In this story, templeton21 does a fantastic job of bringing the reader into her post apocalyptic world. She does this by describing everything in vivid detail and using the English language in a way that conveys her story in a new, unique, and brilliant style. Her characters are what really set apart her story though. Jules and Jason have this brilliant chemistry that catches your attention in the first chapter, and doesn't ever let it go. Her characters are just so real and believable. Jules is strong and brave, though she doesn't see it, and Jason, though he seems perfect, has a troubled past. This is the type of story you stay up all night reading, dying to know what happens next. Luckily, the story has more depth than two people in love fighting zombies. There is drama and mystery and, in my opinion, the perfect amount of gore- enough to make it believable, but not to much. In general, this story is amazing, mixing action and adventure, with a toe-curlingly wonderful romance.

Fix-ups are the worst for Kate, who hasn't trusted a man since her father took off. So when the gods send her back to Ancient Rome and into the arms of a famous gladiator, she's certainly going to have something to say about it. Even if he is her soulmate

Kate Thinks: This story is completely and utterly addictive. The author, SweetUnknown, does a wonderful job of making her unique and imaginative plot seem real and believable. In the story a girl named Kate is sent back in time to be with her true love Crispinus. Unfortunately, he Roman gladiator. The main reason I think SweetUnknown does such a fantastic job is, because when Kate is sent back in time she does not instantly understand Latin or Roman customs. She struggles to fit in and understand what is happening around her, and if it weren't for Crispinus she'd be in so much trouble. I also adore the romance between Kate and Crispinus because the author makes their chemistry so intense and yet believable. The fact that she mirrors their romance with glimpses of the gods' love lives, especially Hades and Persephone, adds a whole new layer of depth to the story. The way she writes is wonderfully descriptive and it feels as if you are reading a published book. I would definitely suggest this to anyone looking for a excellently written romance.
