In a world where otherkin and humans live peacefully side-by-side no one bats an eyelid at university student and witch, Rachel Clary. Except for Julian. Rachel was sold to this demon before she was born and now he has come to collect.

Melissa Thinks: I’ve heard a lot of good things about this story and was pleasantly surprised with how well it lived up to my expectations! Rachel lives in a world where seeing things such as demons, witches, succubi, etc. isn’t exactly outside the norm. In fact, she’s a witch herself. But things start to take an unusual turn when a powerful demon suddenly barges into her life and demands that she belongs to him. I thought this was a wonderful concept. It puts a new, supernatural spin on the painfully overused arranged marriage idea. The world, the characters, and the writing itself is very captivating and I literally could not pull myself away from this story. Reverie185 writes beautifully. She twists together a fantastic tale of passion, true love, betrayal, and sacrifice. The only complaint I have is that the relationship between Rachel and Julian did seem to progress a little too quick for me. Other than that, it has all the makings to be a Fictionpress classic.
