Annie Thinks: This one shot is bordering on perfection. Perfect grammar and spelling, wonderful dialogue, realistic characters, and a beautiful balance of humor and sexiness. The history between confident Adelaide and charm-your-pants-off Charlie is explained thoroughly within the first half of the story, as well as the game the one-shot is named for. As the story went on, I found myself actually excited for the game to start. Le Meg does an amazing job in bringing the reader into the story with her descriptions. Sometimes, it truly felt like I was intruding on a (very) private moment between Adelaide and Charlie. The side characters were very well-developed and likable without getting in the way of the budding relationship. The dialogue was very diverse--it could be laugh-out-loud funny or aw-snap worthy, and I also found myself swooning over some of Charlie's lines. The Eleventh Annual Hide Or Die Summer Challenge was, in all, a very satisfying, sexual tension-filled read that was both unique and as cute as all the other clichès on the site. And by the end, I had a craving for gummi bears.
